Shopping with the Grandmas

On Friday, Nandy, Grace and I had a late morning. We slept in, then ate scrambled eggs and pancakes (can you believe I cooked??). After playing for a long time (Nandy drank a lot of tea and ate dinosaur egg soup), we headed to the mall for lunch and a little shopping.

We didn't get very far into the mall, only hitting a couple of stores, but we had a great time while we were there. Grace seemed to have the most fun at Pottery Barn, playing on the phone and in the kitchen. While we were there, we ran into one of her Kindermusik friends, Sherry.

After playing, we went to California Pizza Kitchen for lunch where my mom met up with us. Grace kept moving all over the place, climbing and playing. Finally, she was next to me and I told her she had to stay put. She looked at me and said that she wanted to go sit "between the Grandma's." That just cracked all of us up, because she calls them Nandy and Nonni and I rarely refer to them as her grandmas. A while back I told her that they were her Grandmas and that we call them Nandy and Nonni. I was amazed that she could remember that. After lunch, we looked around some more and ran into Tova and Koran. Grace and Tova spotted each other and squealed like the little girls they are becoming and ran towards each other giggling and jumping up and down with excitement. After an exuberant hug, they got down to the business of playing with the toys at Children's Place while we shopped a little.I decided that it was time to leave when I told Grace not to do something and she persisted. I told her, "I said no!" She responded with "I say YES!" The Grandmas thought that was funny...not so much on my side!

On the way out, Nandy and I spotted some clothes to try on while Nonni and Grace played on the escalators. We had a great day at the mall!

Your mom looks good...well, so do you...You're looking all sassy and not at all like the mom of a three almost four year old!!!
