Fun with Tova

For the past couple of weeks, Grace has been asking me when she could play with Tova. So, I e-mailed Koran and we set up a play date for the 2 girls. We decided to take them to Koran's neighborhood pool and park for a day of outdoor fun and a picnic.

The girls had a great time playing in the pool before lunch. They shared very well with each other, but enjoyed borrowing the toys other kids left on the side of the pool! Koran and I both decided our girls needed more exciting pool toys.

After lunch, we had a picnic on top of an old wagon near the duck pond. Grace thought it was the coolest thing ever and was way too excited to eat lunch. She didn't even mind that she didn't get a cookie. After we were done eating (and Grace was done waiting on us), we went to the duck pond to feed the ducks (and turtles) the left overs. Tova and Grace had a wonderful time playing by the water. Grace taught Tova to scare the ducks and turtles by screeching at them! They took turns "fishing" with a really long stick that Koran found. We decided to move along before one of them whacked the other with that stick! After leaving the duck pond, we went to the play ground for a little while. Grace was so excited to see the red jeep! She took Tova for a ride, then Koran drove us all around. Grace wanted me to get in, so I put away the camera, though we played for quite a while more. Grace found some dinosaur eggs (little while, oval rocks) with the help of Tova and Koran. For days, I have eaten dino eggs - in soups, fried and scrambled! We had such a great time with them. That night while telling her daddy about her day, she told him that she played with Tova and that "Tova's my best friend." She is already asking me when she will see Tova again!
