On the way there, Grace road a huge charter bus, a train, a shuttle and even a police car! Not to mention our truck and my mom's car! It was a long and busy day.
We went to catch the train, only to discover that it was so late they had hired a bus to get us to Ft. Worth in time to catch the next train. Grace did a lot better on the charter bus than I expected her to, thanks to Granddad and Mimi's Christmas gift (a portable DVD player) and Aunt Kim's gift of a Barbie DVD.
At Ft. Worth, we caught the train and I felt like I was a day care director! There were so many kids in our car and since I didn't want Grace wondering off, I let the kids come play with us at our seat. We sang songs, read books, colored, and had a great time....I was SO exhausted by the time the train pulled into Longview 2 hours late!
From there we caught the shuttle to Shreveport - but the shuttle drop off location was being used in an upcoming Michael Douglas film being shot in Shreveport. So, the police loaded us up in their car as we waited for my mom to come and get us!
While in New Orleans, we also rode a trolley and a ferry - If Grace had been put on a plane, I think she would have been able to have said she rode every form of transportation that weekend!

Aubrey loves her beads that you brought back from NOLA, she has worn them constantly since you gave them to her yesterday. They only came off to bathe & sleep. Love that pic of Grace in the cop car.
