I haven't blogged in a while! We have been really busy. Here are some cute random things:
My Butt Is Crooked....
While in Florida, I was putting Grace down for the night when she kept picking at her butt. I asked her what was wrong and she replied that her butt was crooked. I helped her straighten her undies. For the next 3-5 minutes, she continued to pick at her undies and complain about her crooked butt. I finally pulled her bottoms down and told her to fix it. She stood up on the bed, bent over and scratched away. She said something along the lines of, "ah, better." I asked her if she meant did her butt itch. "Yes, mom...my butt was crooked."
Who butters Grace's Bread...
On Tuesday night, I asked Grace what she wanted to do tomorrow, did she want to go to the beach? She said, no it's too windy at the beach (Tropical Storm Fay had just come through). So, I asked if she wanted to go to the pool. "mom, the pool is windy, too, just like the beach." Nothing can make a grown woman feel stupider than a 3 year old talking down to them, btw. I asked Grace, what do you want to do then. After thinking a minute, she said, "Go shopping!" I told her that maybe daddy and I could go with her shopping. She thought for a minute and said that she wanted to go with her Nandy and Papa! LOL This kid knows who butters her bread!
Mama Who?
I took Grace to My Time Gym today. We sat in with Maika at his class. She was the prima ballerina of the class. Showing off her stuff and saying, "Ta-da!" after every roll, swing, jump, somersault, etc. She fell in love with the class and Ms. Lorie. When everyone went home she was so disappointed and kept asking to do it again. When we were leaving, she informed me that I could stay with Maika and she could stay with Ms. Lorie.
On that note, yesterday at Maika's house, she ran into a wall and bumped her head. While crying, she wanted Ms. Leya, not mama. I was holding her and she told me to take her to Ms. Leya and that I could stay with Maika. Gee, thanks.
What a smartie...
Just a quick brag. Grace knows her ABC's, can recognize all of them, can write some of them and knows which sound goes with which letter. How smart is she?
Grace also loves to play the opposite game. Any word I say, she will tell me the opposite. She is really good at it, too!
Rock-A-Bye Baby...
Grace rarely wants to rock any more. Which makes me SO sad. Last night I asked if she wanted to rock. She said, "no, thanks." (at least she is polite, right?) So I asked if I could PLEASE rock her. She said no, but finally relented after some begging. She said..."Just one minute." And that was all she let me.
